Astypalea has all kinds of beaches; organized and isolated, sandy and pebbly.

In Livadi you will find a large organized beach.

If you are feeling more adventurous, start your exploration of the island’s crystal water coast from Pera Gialos. From there, you can reach the beaches of Tzanakia, Agios Konstantinos, Vatses, Kaminakia by road or sea.

And the further you go, the more you find; Steno, Plakes, Psili Ammos, Mple Limanaki, Maltezana, Schoinonta, Karekli and Vrysi.

It’s worthwhile taking a special boat trip to visit the islet of Koutsomitis and its own spectacular beach. Why stop there? There are also daily excursions to Kounoupa, Agios Fokas, Kokkinos Gremos, Ai Gianni, and Fokonisia.
